Accessibility

This site is built and tested to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Here is what that means, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us if something blocks you.

Our commitment

We want every part of this site to be usable whether you browse with a mouse, a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control, magnification, or with motion and colour preferences turned on. Teaching people to be seen is a poor business to be in if your own site shuts people out.

The standard we test against

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Every page is tested automatically at four screen sizes, including a 320 pixel wide viewport and the equivalent of 400% browser zoom, and checked by hand for keyboard and screen reader use.

What that means in practice

  • A skip link is the first thing you reach with the keyboard, and it moves focus to the page content.
  • Every page has one main heading and a single main landmark, so you can jump straight to the content.
  • Everything that works with a mouse works with a keyboard, and the focused item is always clearly outlined.
  • Form results are announced to screen readers, not just shown in colour. Fields that need fixing are marked programmatically.
  • Text meets AA contrast against its background, and the layout reflows to a single column without horizontal scrolling.
  • Animation is disabled automatically if your system asks for reduced motion, and no content depends on animation to become visible.
  • If your system asks for higher contrast, we increase it.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you than let you find out:

  • On small screens, the "Book the call" bar sits at the bottom of the window and can cover a line or two of text while you scroll back up. It moves out of the way as you read downward, disappears near forms and the foot of the page, and can be dismissed with its close button.
  • Booking a call happens on Calendly, and buying happens on our community platform. Those are third-party services and their accessibility is not something we control.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site stops you doing something, we want to know, and we will fix it or find another way to get you what you need.
