Who we are

Alaska Growth Initiative ("AGI", "we", "us") is operated jointly by Hardaway Learning and Northtek, both based in Anchorage, Alaska. Together we are the controllers of the personal information described on this page.

What we collect

We collect the minimum needed to reply to you and to understand which pages are useful. We do not require an account, and there is no checkout on this website.

Email address

When you subscribe or join a waitlist. Stored so we can tell you when workshop dates are announced.

Name, email, topic and message

When you use the contact form, so we can reply.

Which page you came from

Attached to form submissions so we know what you were reading when you got in touch.

Usage analytics

Pages viewed, approximate location by country or region, device type, referring site, and which calls-to-action are clicked.

Server logs

Our host records IP address and request details for security and reliability. These are short-lived and we do not use them to build profiles.

We do not collect payment details on this website. Nothing here has a checkout - every offer starts with a conversation, and any payment happens later through a separate platform with its own privacy terms.

Why we collect it

To answer you. If you send a message or ask to be told about dates, we need a way to reply.
To improve the site. Knowing which pages people actually read tells us what to write more of.
To keep the site up and secure. Standard hosting logs.

If you are in a place where a legal basis must be named, ours is your consent for marketing email and analytics cookies, and legitimate interest for replying to enquiries and keeping the site running.

Cookies and analytics

We use two analytics tools, and you control one of them.

Google Analytics 4 - asked for, cookie-based

We ask before Google Analytics stores anything. Until you accept, it runs with storage denied, meaning it measures the visit without writing a cookie or building a persistent identifier. If you accept, it sets its standard cookies so returning visits can be recognised. We have turned off Google's advertising signals and ad personalisation, so your data is not used to target ads to you.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which resets the choice and makes the banner appear again. You can also install Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Vercel Web Analytics - always on, no cookies

Our host provides privacy-friendly analytics that counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across other websites. It cannot identify you.

We do not use advertising pixels, retargeting, session recording, heatmaps, or any tool that replays what you did on the page.

Who else processes your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We do rely on a small number of service providers to run the site. Each one only receives what it needs.

Web3Forms

Delivers form submissions to our inbox. Receives whatever you typed into the form.

Google Analytics

Usage analytics, only after you accept. Receives page views and events.

Vercel

Hosting, cookieless analytics and performance measurement. Receives request data such as IP address.

Calendly

Only if you book a call. You give your details to Calendly directly, under its own privacy policy.

Whop

Only if you buy. Course and workbook access is delivered there, under its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

How long we keep it

Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
Contact messages: kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period after, so we have a record of what was agreed.
Analytics: retained by Google for up to 14 months, and by Vercel on a rolling window set by our plan.
Server logs: short-lived, controlled by our host.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

tell you what we hold about you;
correct it if it is wrong;
delete it;
stop sending you email, at any time.

Email alaskagrowthinitiative@gmail.com and we will action it. We will not make you jump through hoops, and we will not charge you.

If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to object to processing, to request portability, and to complain to your data protection authority. If you are a California resident, we confirm that we have not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and exercising your rights will never lead to worse treatment.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS with HSTS, a strict content security policy, and no third-party scripts beyond those named above. Form submissions travel over an encrypted connection. Our webfonts are served from our own servers, so simply reading a page does not hand your IP address to a font provider.

No system is perfect. If you find a security problem, please tell us at alaskagrowthinitiative@gmail.com before disclosing it publicly, and we will work with you.

Children

This website and the programmes sold through it are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and we have your email, we will tell you directly rather than quietly editing the page.
